Hey Bob,

Great to hear from you. 

Several companies in our area have had large layoffs and some have completely shut down, but we have been able to keep our guys busy, and even hire a couple really good guys when they were laid off.  We know we have been very fortunate and we are not taking it for granted.  We have a direct mail using some of your tips going out this weekend to coincide with the first temps in the mid 80's.  We've already sent out two and tried to time the third one to hit when the temps were mid 80.  We also landed two jobs today to people that called yesterday evening and weren't satisfied.  The first one this morning was a couple who just purchased the house and had already changed out the systems and they got a real hack job.  I simply showed them the shortcomings of it and pretty much everything I mentioned fit perfectly with a problem they had already noticed.  It was easy to sell them solutions to the problems they had been suffering with.  Not a huge job because we are going to reuse the equipment, but a job to keep a crew busy 3-4 days next week.  We've got all 4 install crews scheduled through next week now and generally have been able to keep work a week out, so we have been really blessed. 

We gave out approximately 7000 of your "7 Biggest Mistakes" booklet at two recent home shows and still have on average a call a day mentioning the home show. 

 I highly recommend your stuff.  In all honesty, we've only used a very small portion of the ideas contained, but we keep using those over and over.  I've been sending out your special envelopes to folks who have an extended warranty and allowed their membership in our Advantage Club maintenance program to expire.  Your envelopes generates about 10 times as many renewals as those sent in business envelopes, so we keep doing it. 

Oh well, just wanted to let you know your material was a great investment.

An Opinion of Bob Blagg’s Course Presentation of “HVAC Profit Secrets Institute Toolbox Platinum Edition”

During the course of almost 50 years as a marketing student, marketing department employee, manager and vice president, instructor, consultant, and writer of marketing articles, I have never come across any cumulative presentation of marketing system materials such as the HVAC Profit Secrets Institute Toolbox Platinum Edition.

If one were to take all the books in a library and condense them into one book, it would not nearly cover the subject as well as has Mr. Blagg’s presentation. This is the most complete approach to the subject I have seen.

Most presentations I have read approach the subject as if it were a review of a dead system. Mr. Blagg’s presentation is alive and vital and not only presents the currant definitive approach that is applicable to the HVAC Industry, he makes you feel as if you were actually building upon your own knowledge and relating to everything you’ve ever learned about the industry. Then he goes further and incorporates many significant ideas and approaches you had not thought of before.

Bob Blagg is a veteran of the HVAC Industry with over 30 years in the business having served in virtually every function of a residential/commercial/light industrial dealer. He started with his father’s HVAC dealership while still in school, and has owned his own business for many years. His experience extends from the warehouse to the counter, to inside and outside sales, to all phases of accounting, to wholesaling and to marketing.
